This ranges from trauma victims to patients battling sickle cell disease or Thalassemia\, or to ensure a successful organ or bone marrow transplant. Cancer patients use 25% of all blood donations and blood transfusions are needed in one out of every 83 newborn deliveries in America today\, a rate that has increased by more than 50% between 2006 and 2015. The list goes on. \nIn short\, all of us are likely to know someone who will need blood. Despite this\, only 3% of all Americans donate blood. A reality that should trouble us all. Donate Blood.  Spread Awareness.  Make a Difference. \nWe have a total of 8 appointments scheduled with 27 total possible appointment slots. First\, thank you to the parents of the campers who entrusted their children to us for a week of fun and learning. Second\, thank you to those who served our team in some capacity. Whether you provided a meal for the team\, donated supplies\, helped oversee stations\, drove children\, gave financial gifts\, served as a small group leader; or most importantly prayed for us throughout the week\, we appreciate you so much! Third\, thank you to our students\, who served faithfully throughout the week.\nSTARS and VBS wouldn’t be possible without all you and we are so thankful for the investment you made in the lives of children and students during this special week.
