DESCRIPTION:GIRLS ON THE GO | THURSDAY\, JUNE 12\nWe have free tickets to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s “Into the Music” performance at 6:30pm on Thursday\, June 12. We will leave the church at 3:45pm to go to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory (4:30) and then to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s presentation. The ISO will be presenting a program talking abut the origins of Symphony music and excerpts from the actual symphonies. It is open seating and doors open at 6. It lasts one hour. We plan to return to New Hope no later than 8pm. We have 20 tickets and 11 ladies have signed up so far. We will also have a waitlist. Please call or text Sue Galloway ASAP.

Kayou (pronounced Kai Oh) hopes through her cooking class you will learn a little bit about her and China. \nYou don’t need a wok or fancy cookware to cook delicious Chinese meals. The cooking demonstration includes tastings of the following: \n1). You will be making (hands on) dumplings and learn how to cook them. \n2). Kayou will teach you the secret “velveting” technique used to tenderize meat like restaurants do. \n3). How to make stir-fried rice with sliced pork and veggies. \n4). How to make egg drop soup. \nWe must have at least 15 sign up and the cost is $10.00. DESCRIPTION:MAUNDY THURSDAY & GOOD FRIDAY | APRIL 17 & 18\nOn Maundy Thursday this year we will learn about the first Lord’s Supper\, actually a Seder meal\, by following the tradition of the Seder. We will sit together at tables in the sanctuary and do just what Jesus and his disciples did 2\,000 years ago. There will be no child care offered\, because the Seder was a family meal. Since part of the Seder was an actual meal they shared together\, we too will share a pitch-in meal. Bring something for about fifteen people… a side dish\, main dish\, dessert\, salad… to share with the rest of the church. We’ll start at 6:00pm and finish around 7:30. \nOn Good Friday\, we’ll gather at the table back in the sanctuary for meditation and worship. We’ll study God’s word around each table\, and meditate together on the seven last words of Christ. We will not be sharing a meal that night\, but again\, our children will be with us at the table. Come ready to see Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross in a new way. We’ll begin at 7:00pm and finish around 8:00pm.

DESCRIPTION:GIRLS ON THE GO | INDIANA HISTORY MUSEUM\nAll ladies of the church (and their friends/neighbors) are invited to see around 100 decorated Christmas trees and have lunch on Friday\, November 22. We will meet at the church at 9am to carpool to the Indiana History Museum (450 W Ohio St\, Indianapolis). We will have lunch at the Stardust Terrace Cafe. We should return around 2:30pm. Parking and admission are free with a veteran’s ID\, medical professional ID\, or teacher’s ID. Please see Barb Davidson on Sunday\, November 17\, if you want to go on this adventure. \nPlans are being made for the first week of December to tour the Ronald McDonald House both in Riley Hospital and the house on Limestone Street across from Riley. \nWe will not be going to the Ayres Tea Room this year. Skipping a year.

We would like a light meal and dessert. Drinks and paper products are supplied through the church. A point person may sign up from a Hope Group\, Bible study group\, or an individual may enlist help from friends and family. One person does not need to be doing all of it. We typically have around 30 people weekly at our gatherings. \nAll donations may be placed in New Hope’s upstairs kitchenette labeled “Student Ministries” on that Sunday morning OR sent in with a teen on the evening you select. You may sign up through this link.
