After our last GOG outing\, people decided they wanted to attend the ballet of Romeo and Juliet at Clowes Memorial Hall (4602 Sunset Ave\, Indpls 46208). \nThe Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will be playing\, and the Indianapolis Ballet will be dancing. It is a historical first event in Indianapolis to have the symphony accompany a ballet. \nThis is open to anyone male or female that would like to attend. Sue Galloway will be going to Clowes Box Office to get the tickets\, so we don’t have to pay Ticketmaster fee. Tickets are $49 each total for main floor seating. Show is Friday\, May 3\, at 7:30pm. Sue must have the money and RSVP by Sunday\, March 10. Sue will take cash\, check\, Venmo\, or Apple Pay. \nPeople can carpool from church\, and that will be decided after we know who’s going.

Please be sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before your arrival. Sign up by clicking here. Appointments are preferred\, but walk-ins are welcome. There is room for 25 donors. \nInteresting facts:  \n\nChildren being treated for cancer\, premature infants\, and children having heart surgery need blood and platelets from donors of all types\, especially type O.\nBlood that closely matches that of a patient is less likely to be rejected by the patient and can mean fewer complications after a transfusion.\nThe average adult body contains 10 pints of blood.

The first 15 donors get a free ticket to the Indiana State Fair. \nInteresting facts:  \n\nOne unit of blood can be separated into several components: red blood cells\, plasma and platelets.\nBlood makes up about 7% of your body’s weight.\nEvery time you donate blood\, you receive a mini physical for free.

DESCRIPTION:MONUMENT CIRCLE & BUCA DI BEPPO | JULY 23\n(Any woman is invited to attend any of our outings.)\nLadies\, mark your calendar for Tuesday\, July 23\, starting at 9:15am to tour the Monument Circle buildings and the outside of the monument. Lunch at Buca di Beppo at 12:00. \nWe will leave the church at 9:15. We will be touring and learning about all of the buildings on monument circle. It is sponsored by Indiana landmarks and is 60 minutes long. Yes\, it will take us 60 minutes to learn about all the different buildings on the circle and the monument itself. The tour will start at 10:30 and is fully handicap accessible. \nThe event cost is $150. If we can get 15 people it’s only $10 each\, the more people we have the cheaper it is for everyone. If it’s less than 15 it will cost each person more. Bring $15-$20 in cash to pay Sue Galloway that morning. She must give them only one payment. \nWe will then walk one and a half blocks to Buca di Beppo and eat lunch at 12 o’clock. \nWe should arrive home around two thirtyish or before. Since parking downtown can be very expensive\, we would like to carpool with as many people per car as possible. We are still researching which parking garage is cheapest by Buca. \nIf you are willing to drive\, please let Sue know\, and also how many people can fit in your car. We will split parking costs with the people in your car.
