Blood Drive

BLOOD DRIVE | MARCH 11, 5:25-8:25PM
We currently have 7 online appointments scheduled out of the 26 total slots available for the duration of the drive. Our goal is to collect 15 units.

Help save someone’s live by donating blood. Versiti Blood Center will be here at New Hope on Monday, March 11, from 5:25-8:25pm in the Activity Center to take your donation. Please be sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before your arrival. Sign up by clicking here. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. There is room for 25 donors.

Interesting facts: 

  • Children being treated for cancer, premature infants, and children having heart surgery need blood and platelets from donors of all types, especially type O.
  • Blood that closely matches that of a patient is less likely to be rejected by the patient and can mean fewer complications after a transfusion.
  • The average adult body contains 10 pints of blood.
